Once again the Copenhagen Open was held in Valbyparken. This year the field was even stronger than last year with ten 1000+ rated players making the trip to Copenhagen. The weather was very nice for April weather, with no rain and lots of sunshine.

The current World Champion, Dave Feldberg, had come back to defend his title from last year's win. In the end, he managed to do just that, beating local Karl Johan Nybo with seven strokes, who finished one stroke ahead of third place finisher Robert Buzasy.

The Women field was the most competitive, it has been at the Copenhagen Open yet. In the end Birgitta Lagerholm claimed victory over Melody King with just three strokes separating the two. Anne Matilainen finished in third, four strokes behind Melody King.

In Masters, Hans Tegebäck cruised to a clear first place finish, beating his closest competitor Kari Vesala by 13 strokes. Third was Morgan Elvinsson, who finished two strokes behind Kari Vesala.

The course was a little bit tougher than last year, with a best round score of 54, shot by David Feldberg in the first round and Robert Buzasy in the third round.

We thank everybody who attended the tournament - we hope you enjoyed yourself and we hope to see you next year.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, the park workers, staff and helpers.
